Your Journey Towards a Deeper Connection Starts Here
Gina Ortiz, M.B.A., M.A., LMFT
Gina’s background as a business leader and life coach helped her to hone an approach that is compassionate yet direct. Through this experience, Gina quickly realized the importance of strong relationships to effectively lead a team of productive individuals who enjoyed working collaboratively. This strongly influenced her decision to become a therapist. She was further encouraged and supported in this important life transition by two foundational beliefs. First, a deep spiritual knowing that all things in the universe are connected. Secondly, we are all here ultimately for a purpose. Helping people grow and teaching them how to be in relationship to each other is a big part of hers.
As the self-proclaimed, “world’s most extroverted introvert,” Gina is happiest luxuriating in one-on-one quality time with people she loves, reading a page-turner, laughing at a good joke, learning new things, and enjoying an interesting podcast.

Frequently asked questions
Everyone. Anyone. Whether you’ve been together for a decade and it’s time for some adjustments, you’ve been married for 30 years and have grown apart or you’re in a brand-new relationship and want to start with a solid foundation, relationship therapy can help. Couples, all couples, anywhere on the wide spectrum of gender and sexuality can benefit from increased self-awareness, improved communication and deeper connections.
You remain connected to yourself and to each other. And renew the connection again and again and again. How do you stay connected to yourself? A combination of understanding yourself and your needs while confidently expressing them clearly and kindly. If you don’t know what you want or don’t know how to ask for it, then how can you expect someone else to meet your needs?
How do you stay connected to each other? You lean in and respond when your partner leans in. Leaning in is best described as all the things we do in relationship with one another to extend ourselves in a way that says: You matter to me. I’m thinking about you. I love you. I hear you. I see you. In couples counseling you can learn how to better understand your partner’s needs and express your own
It is not unusual for one partner to want to seek outside assistance while another does not. At first glance this may seem like a barrier to improving the relationship, but it doesn’t have to be. One individual focused on their own personal growth and how their ways of being are reflected in the relationship can frequently improve things, perhaps to the point that the other party, the one not interested in therapy, has a change of heart. In relationship-focused, individual therapy, you can learn how to become the partner you want to have.
The short answers yes, but it has to be an active choice. And like many choices we make, you’ll have to make it again, and again, and again.
$250/session – inquire about sliding scale if you think you may qualify
